This product was exactly what I was looking for and met all my expectations. I plan to buy more for some wedding gifts. It is soooo versitile and perfect for those who have little storage space as this is 4-5 dishes in one. Great quality too.
I was originally supposed to receive this on around the 11th, but when I didn't get it I sent out an email and it finally arrived on the 18th, however it was almost completely shattered. Now I have to spend the money to send it back to the company. I also really could have used it this weekend, however that obviously is not going to happen.
When I first got home, I noticed the dome had a knick in it so I went back to exchange it for another one that was fine. A friend purchased this first and while I was over her house, she was showing me all the ways it could be used. It's true the glass has some slight imperfections, but for $20--it is a great buy.A lot of negative reviews go to it being in a million pieces due to shipping and lack of padding. I thought it was the neatest thing. She said she got it at Target so that's where I went to purchase the cake stand. Do yourself a favor and just go to Target to buy it. If by chance something happens, you can always swap it out.
This really is a well made way to display your cake. Its a bonus that you can also serve punch or use it as a chip/veggie and dip tray.
I'd like to start off by saying that this is not a "4 in 1" item: the box counts both the covered cake stand and the uncovered cake stand as two separate things, which they are clearly not. Now that that's out of the way.It is true that this is not a well made item: the glass dome has many imperfections in it, so if you're looking for something elegant, this is not it. However, if what you need is an inexpensive, everyday cake stand to have around the kitchen (not for display purposes), then this is a great buy. It retails for less than other cake stands, and the other functions are a nice bonus.
